An early combimouse prototype has been succesfully tested for usability by Wichita State University. The Combimouse is a combination of a mouse and keyboard in one and as you can see from the photo it certainly looks a little different than a standard mouse and keyboard setup. The left is a left hand of QWERTY keyboard, and right side of the Combimouse is designed to like a 'big' mouse(the keys I, O, J, K, L as the mouse buttons), but when the user grips the right unit it automatically switches to mouse mode.

Keyboards are not just PC peripherals any more, Asus transformed them into standalone portable PCs.
One of the most innovative Asus products awarded with the Red Dot Best Product Design for 2009, the Asus EeeKeyboard computer offers the complete functionality of a desktop PC in a slim and stylish keyboard.
The EeeKeyboard was revealed back in January by Asus and is a full size keyboard which incorporates a built in PC that runs Windows XP, along with an 800×480 touchscreen display which is also built in to the keyboard. The PC is powered by an Atom N270 processor and it is expected that it will also include a 32GB SSD, wifi, a webcam, stereo speakers and will weigh just 2 lb.
After a bunch of (mostly) expected games, Microsoft's E3 press conference finally revealed something of greater interest and scope: Project Natal, the code name for the company's well-rumored motion-sensing bar. It will let you play Xbox 360 games use the body, no controller required - the only experience needed is life experience. Thus, carrying the tagline that it would "make 'you' the controller" and that, as the controller is the current "barrier separating game players from everyone else," with Natal, "the only experience you need is life experience." Microsoft demoed racing games, fighting games, and simple sports games using full body spatial recognition that let you hold up virtual steering wheels, duck, weave and deliver punches, and kick goals using nothing more than their physical actions.(",)

CAPTCHA - the term is short for “completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart,” a reference to the test proposed by Alan Turing, the British mathematician, to determine if a computer can be said to think like a human. These are those things you find on Web sites at log-in that require you to decipher and type words or numbers.
Researchers at Google are testing a new captcha that requires people to turn upright randomly rotated images, like that of a parrot perched temporarily upside-down on a leafy branch. The task is a breeze for people — using a cellphone touchscreen, for example, to flip the image — but hard for machines.

As millions flock to social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, and Friendster, experts warn they could be putting themselves at risk from dangers such as identity theft and stalking. Take this basic precautions.
* Check the website's privacy policy. Some allow unrestricted access to posted content. If possible, restrict access to your profile so only close friends can view your information.
* Seriously consider omitting your full name, address, phone number, pets' and maiden names or any personal details the could allude to passwords.
* Choose a username that doesn't contain personal info.
* Be aware that personal photos can be altered.
* The internet is open to the public, so only post stuff you don't mind strangers knowing. After all, you can't take it back - even if you delete it, older versions may exist on other people's computer.
* Don't believe everything you read online. Report anything or anyone suspicious to the website or to the police.
