Happy Beer Day!
The research teams at Rice University Houston, USA, are working to make beer that is capable of combating the disease of cancer. The team is using genetic engineering to produce resveratrol, a chemical substance capable of fighting the disease and is found in the usual red wine.
Previously, in June, researchers at the University of Wisconsin successfully produce resveratrol, which comes from the vineyards that produce the term French Paradox. This term appears; because most people like the French consume red wine have a high heart disease is lower.
Researchers in Wisconsin found, with a little resveratrol to mice, can prevent heart to be old and remain healthy. This means that the increasing power of his life.
"The idea originally was that the effect will be greater with the compound resveratrol in the wine from beer. The amounts of red wine that need to be drunk to get the same results only need half," he said.
He explains, the amount of resveratrol found in wine varies from bottle to bottle, depending on the conditions of grape that is used in addition to other variables. Researchers believe they can produce beer with concentration higher chemical substances to combat cancer.
Business at the University of Rice is an effort that uses latest technology to search for drugs against the major health problems such as cancer or heart disease.
In August, scientists at Stanford University announced they had found a way to use nano technology to eliminate cancer cells.(",)
